How could I forget to focus??
I did, 7 times, with attempts of shooting a small family gathering at my home. Everyone wanted me to shoot the group with me (of course in the photo). I set up the tripod, set shutter release for 3 seconds to give me time to place myself in the photo. Each time I reviewed the photo it was terrible. Not once did I figure out that I had not focused by pushing the AEL button. (I set the camera for BBF about 2.5 years ago). DUH! DUH! DUH! So, we have no photo of the group gathering. Might not have another opportunity for years.
Anyone else have DUH! experiences similar to this one.
Life is still fun. I simply smile at myself for all my "DUH" moments.
Stay safe!

Multiple Duhs, you need to tke a rest
On one of our trips to Hawaii, we took the road beyond Hana on Maui and circled around to once again we reached civilization stopping and snapping photos of the fantastic scenery along the way. Only when we got back to our accommodations in Kihei and attempted to review the photos did I discover that I had failed to put a memory card in the camera!

I have my camera set to NOT release the shutter without a card.
Mine might even say No Card on the screen.
My H-1 will take a couple of shots without a card (A little internal memory).
But there is always a card in them, always.

OH yes!
Went to a concert and forgot to change the metering mode from 'matrix' to 'spot'.
Got a lot of overexposed pictures. :-(

You’ve just reminded me to set both my cameras to not release without a card - thank you!
The longer we live the more we learn! Boy, have I learned!

Oh Mark, you have been deceived - I make mistakes every day. It’s just as I get older, I’ve just learned to forgive myself more readily 😎.
