Quick survey - I'm RAW + MANUAL

The exposure modes I use (most to least):
#1 Aperture Priority AE (probably tied with...)
#1 Manual with Auto ISO AE (yes, this is an auto exposure mode)
#2 Shutter Priority AE
#3 Manual (no Auto ISO)
#4 Program (rarely)
I never use full "Auto" or any of the highly automated "scene" modes such as "sports", "landscape", "portrait", etc. All those automate far more than just exposure. Some of them override AF settings, won't let you save a RAW file, etc.
Most of the time I shoot RAW.... Occasionally if I need JPEGs immediately, I'll shoot RAW + JPEG.

Camera in grab and go bag is set to
P mode and JPEG Fine.
I adjust as the situation requires.

Manual, manual wb, raw, some raw + jpeg and occasionally will use one of the auto modes such as ap, tv, rarely p mode. almost always set white balance manually.

Me, Raw and jpeg (my camera allows both). Generally, Aperture priority.

Why should it matter if you are in a majority or minority? Do whatever works best for your specific photographic needs.

I guess I’m my case even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Actually the pics were challenging. The photo of the kid was very contrasty from very bright to very dark. The zebra was across very hot plains handheld 400mm m43 format. The bush baby was playing peak-a-boo in very dark conditions. The photo of the liquor on the Land Rover was perhaps the most difficult. I took this shot after several “sun downers.” Camera is not great equipment but all very high quality glass. So I take some credit, but, as you noted, the equipment deserves most of the credit!

Always RAW in Manual mode.

RAW+Auto..cuz I am lazy..some time Ap. Priority. I have been nothing but pleased with my cameras choices and I am not shooting for anyone but myself
