RAW + MANUAL, occasionally I have to use auto focus.
Q. How do you know someone is vegan, or uses profoto lighting equipment, or always shoots in manual?
A. They tell you.
Raw...iso auto...shutter priority for long lenses (wildlife). Aperture priority for portraits. Manual for landscapes.

Just wondering about my fellow UHH members - what's your "go to" mode and file format? Just your "normal" settings please.
Me = RAW + MANUAL
Keep safe
I don't have a go-to mode or normal setting.
The shooting condition, purpose of the shot and the effect I want always dictates the setting I use.
If my camera has a normal condition, it would be that it is in Back button(continuous focus), Continues High & Redundant memory cards/save mode all the time.
That said; I find Manual + JPEG + AWB adequate, for most shots.

Autofocus with manual override, RAW and jpeg, I set ev, śśś , aperture, iso on soft shoe so I’m in manual manual.

No issues here, I was talking to a client yesterday who was a photographer too (but not real estate) - he asked what mode and file format I used natively - I replied manual and RAW - interestingly he had never tried RAW or any mode other than Auto or Aperture or Shutter priority - just thinking that maybe I'm in a minority.
There are many of us including myself are not yet Knowledgeable with The Raw editing process, I myself am Considering getting the Luminar AI Photo-Editing Program, sounds like a good thing for Us who are not very Technically skilled. Please share your advice or ideas with me. Thanks

So what?
Just looked through 10 pages of ??????? - who cares what you use - how does it affect anyone or anything? ..... Oh yes that's it --- using RAW + Manual tells everyone what a wonderful photographer you are

I personally Consider myself a " ADVANCED BEGINNER" with my 3 year old Used Nikon D3300 Camera.
Thus far, I have NEVER shot my Images in RAW Format. I have No Experience in Photo-Editing.
I am a 70 year old who is NOT a TECHNOLOGY Wizard.
I have been considering a Editing Program, "Luminar AI", on my Used Macbook Pro Laptop. I do not own a Desktop Computer.
So, if any of you have Advice, Suggestions, Warnings, ideas, etc. PLEASE, P.M. me heard at U.H H.
"Thank You", in advance for your replies.
Respectfully,
Robert
Just shoot jpegs and use your software program. You’ll be just fine. They will be beautiful and enjoy!
