2nefoto is correct: While I don't like implants or ink, for that matter, they don't affect the quality of the image, and many of the posts on this forum lack photographic quality

There are many talented, knowledgeable photographers who contribute quality work to this section. But for many others, it is no different than a porn site for old guys. Ink and implants should not be deal breakers in the appreciation of good photography.

To be totally honest, Rab. It is my opinion that BOTH ink and implants both negate a woman's femininity ! The body is beautiful as G-d intended it to be, and not marred with man made implements. And, if I am being honest, I am not in favor of over excessive makeup either.
But this is MHO.

Ben, it's pretty much a dead heat. I dislike both equally.

Because these issues are frequently part of the comments posted in this section, I thought it would be OK to post something without a photo, but a question. Of the two evil I’s, which ruins a photo for you more? Ink or implants?

Ink. All tats are horrible. I spent 40 years in the military - i never got a tat, but seems everyone i know got them
Implants are great - i know several women with them. Even know of two that had reductions. They hated their big boobs

"Evil I's"? There are so many dynamics that can be pulled out. If we were to catalog the "I"s. we will discover that the list will continue to be added to. I will say that it is the whole of the presented image that will determine my reaction and opinion. And, yes, there will be certain predilections in my determination. A lot does rely on experience and knowledge garnered along the way. One of my guidelines is to remember that in photographs with models, there are three people involved. The model, the photographer, and the viewer.

For me, neither of the mentioned "I"s will "ruin a photo". However, I will find excessive amounts to be problematic. But that is me. I still look at photographs and try to answer whether the image accomplishes its message.

I would have to throw my vote in for ink. Guess my eye sight is not that
good anymore so many times they can sneak those implants past me.

Interesting responses ABSOLUTELY no mentions of photographic quality.

You are expanding the question. The OP assumes photographic quality without saying.

I would also add piercings to my pet peeves.

Unless I've interpreted incorrectly, this, primarily, is a discourse on what a woman should or should not do to her body. I wonder if this implies a woman's choices for her body shouldn't be respected. My position is not to say choices may not be liked. The general opinion, here, appears that woman who do not kowtow to expected "norms" do not qualify as acceptable photography subjects.

Apparently, you have interpreted incorrectly. The thread has nothing to do with what a woman should or shouldn't do with her body. It's a matter of what people like seeing as a result of what she does with her body. in this thread, the results presented in a photograph.
