I'm not sure how well this will post because I could find the "real" image in my files. This is a downloaded version.

I was taking pictures of the hills in the fog when a couple of deer came running through. I though it was a pleasent addition to my otherwise blah images.

Oh! I like that one...

WOW! Does that bring back memories! When my dad was still alive, and I was just a kid, we used to take that trail to go back to Union and Utica lakes for hunting and fishing trips in our old jeep. Great times together.
I really like that picture of the "Tortured Tree". I can see why you won an award for it.

While driving North on Hwy 49 I passed a road that I had never been on before. I drove for about a mile and decided to turn around and find out what there was to see out on that country road. This bridge was built in the 1860's and is reputed to be the longest single span wooden covered bridge in the world. Lucky decision to take that road.

I LOVE 4x4 trail riding and do I know what you mean about the rocks. Biggest thrill to win over the the rocks on a trail. Great shots.

Some of you have seen this shot of mine at least a dozen times already, but it is my lucky shot. We were 4 wheeling in Wisconsin. I woke up early and looked out the window at the lake. Grabed my camera with whatever lens was on it. No shoes, no coat, slamming the door, ran down to the lake over the acorns on the ground to get this shot.

I do believe in "the lucky shot". I was driving in Wyoming and was watching some cloud formations. The clouds quickly turned into a rabbit and dog. I pulled off the road, grabbed my camera, and took this shot. a moment later, the clouds changed and they were gone.

I didn't realize it was that short either but when you compare it to the boulders and the other tree...I guess it did take that long trying to grow through that small space. What kind is it? Nice shot.

Well that tree's height sure fooled me! I guess if I had to strain that hard to grow 3 feet in 100 years I'd be twisted too.
...It's a brilliant photo. Thank you.

I like clouds too. The dog I see perfectly, but the rabbit took a few minutes because he has a long cotton tail, right and he's in mid hop, right?

Everyone has that one shot, taken in a split second and could have easily missed forever if it weren't for divine intervention or a bit of luck. I'd like to see your shot and hear the story behind it.

I'd say any good sunrise or sunset picture, as they only last for minutes or seconds.

Mike

Mid hop. As if it's getting away from the dog.

I haven't seen this shot before and think it's beautiful! I also have one that many have seen at least 4 times, but it was also my lucky shot, taken on the Salmon River just after a freak hail storm came rolling down the canyon.
