Yes, we all know about the high cost of ink cartridges. : )
been there; i wanted one page and got 2 extra that were of no value.
If you can find it. Anyone know who has full sets for a new Canon Pro 200? At least my snarky snail mail to Canon got an apologetic phone call but no real help. OH Well. Eventually.

I think demand out ran supply for a lot of Canon Ink products. They have had my order for 1 cartridge of Black for a Pro 100 on back order for a month! And last I checked it seemed all the other retailers were out of it too. Probably waiting in some container ship near Long Beach / San Pedro, CA
Epson also uses a counter for # of copies printed It then stops printed in totality with an error message stating that the residue ink pad is at capacity. You then need to replace the 6 ink pads and purchase a reset key. If not you buy a new printer. Just happened to me Price for pads and key equals cost of a whole set of new ink cartridges
I like to print out a lot of the electronic invoices that come so that I have a record or to even remind me to pay them. I cannot believe how many of them come as 3 page invoices so if I print them double sided I waste a second sheet. But on top of that the entire invoice could have come on 2 pages (or even 1) but they space it out for some reason. It makes me view any claims from these organizations about saving resources etc with extreme suspicion.
I have mentioned this several times; if you have an HP printer, look at their cartridge program. It will save you money.
Why don't you guys tell your printer to print one page??

I’ve been refilling cartridges on my Canon for about 4 years. It’s just a general use printer.

That's my suggestion too! Any time I print something I always check to see how many pages, All printers will have a preview window of the page and the number of pages, just select what you want.

That's what I do and I tell it to print in Black only, not color. And I use a color laser printer for coupons, ads, documents, etc. A laser cartridge may cost more than an ink cartridge but it lasts a hell of a lot longer. I have the Canon Pro 100 that I use for photos.
I've gone mostly paperless, making PDF's of almost everything. If I ever need a paper document, that's when I'll print it out. It's allowed me to get rid of two 2" binders. OBTW, I back everything up, multiple ways. It's not hard to do.
If totally paperless what will will you do when Uncle shuts down the internet and web in a couple years. Any thoughts
