Last year we volunteered to take a small dog for a week or two when a lady had to go into assisted living. A couple of days later the Covid 19 hit and not even dog shelters were taking in pets. We didn't want a permanent dog but after a few months he became one of us. He does restrict our travel and still is learning hand and word commands. His biggest problems is not understanding why the cats can pee in the litter box and he isn't allowed to pee on the side of it. Laugh if you want, but he can say: out, mom ma, and I love you. Some day I might figure out what kind of breed he is. Like it matters. Leon

No! I have had a dog since age 6. I am now 86 and recently lost my last one. It was hard. If I (we) took on a senior dog either we would lose it or it would lose us. I refuse to go through either case.

It means nothing to you but ever since my two dogs died of old age I wanted to replace them. She had arguments against it and I did not push the issue all that hard, just letting her know it was.... 'pending'.

Today she made a HUGE mistake!!!

"Two dogs are good" she said to her parents so now... Well I am in the clear!

Two dogs coming up within a few months!

I worked with this breed while in the French army...

Before I get the pups I'll have to really dog proof the fence as these beasts are not exactly cordial with strangers.
It means nothing to you but ever since my two dogs... (show quote)

What dog? I don't see any picture(s)?

You are not to old. Iam 90, wife79. Lost our 5th lab a year and a half ago. a year ago adopted a 36 lb mixed breed afom the delaware spca. In that time more love given and received than can be imagined. A home that was a dog home is not a home without a dog
