Wonderful photography!! I gather low shutter speeds are used so I wonder how you manage to keep the people so sharp in the street scene?
They were talking, so fairly still. Sometimes, you just get lucky. I don't think I would like the shot as well if the woman in the red dress had not been in it or had blurred during the exposure.
Than you, David! I noticed you're from Belfast. One of our professors here, a guy named Mark Benson, moved to Belfast to work. He is from that area and is thrilled to be there again. We miss him here though.
...In the summary that I read about this section, it mentions that "lessons" are OK to post here. Not sure if we were reading different ones...
Oh you're right!
"Post a "mini-tutorial" describing a technique you used to achieve something specific in the photo. (Teach others about framing, lighting, post-processing, etc.)"
A volunteer-moderated post processing section was created a year and a half after the date of that doc, but there is often overlap among sections.
Just a "Quick Reply" to those of you who looked at the post here and commented as well. It is always a privilege to be able to show and teach. As an educator, it is something I love to do and again appreciate your looking. Next, I also appreciate not one single comment about China and politics. Makes me happy that we can discuss photography and only photography.
