I beg to differ with most of your respondents. I tried it in comparison with Franzis Sharpen Projects 2, which I use a lot. As I indicated in a previous post, Topaz was 50 times bigger, 50 times slower, and 3 times more expensive. The results were no better. With results like these, I didn't need to run a long test.

I purchased the Denoise a month ago and it’s really amazing. I shoot a lot of high ISO photos. Indoor sports. Is the sharpening software as good? Is it worth the $79 for just one tool? Your experiences with it are appreciated.

You can often buy the whole Topaz suite for about $79. I bought all eight of their products for $89 during Black Friday week and added a year's update of all eight for $29. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, discount coupons are often available.

And yes, Sharpen AI is very good; however, use DeNoise prior to sharpening.

I tried the free trial.
Was disappointed with the results.
Very little if any difference.
Perhaps if pixel peeping at 1,000% you might see a difference but I was surprised at the lack of real world viewing difference if any.

Sadly, I have to agree - so far, anyway. I just downloaded the trial and have tested it on six or eight photos and saw very little difference. I'm going to continue to experiment and will watch the You Tube tutorials that have been suggested.

I find it works quite well...

Not the best example but shows the impact.

Yeah, so far using the trial I find it very good. A bit time consuming but if you have a nice shot that can be improved like that, it's worth the effort.

I’m not familiar with it but this You Tube demonstration isn’t very impressive

All of Topaz's products use a lot of computer resources. I run most of my image processing on a gaming desktop; i9 CPU, a top end NVidia GPU, 48 GB RAM and 4 TB SSD. The software eats up GPU resources! Things that take seconds to process on the desktop take minutes on my i7 laptop.

Thanks, now I know which should go first.
Has anybody found Raw AI better than LR?
I find Mask AI is not very precise; I still prefer reMask 5.
Is Gigapixel AI only for large prints?
I found that Lumina AI is very useful too; making skies more interesting and face enhancement and some others.

Good Morning AI Gigapixel is also great if you crop and image and want to increase the pixel size without loss of quality. Does a great job.

Agreed. I use it to increase the size of small astrophotography targets; works great!

On YouTubelook up Anthony Morganti. He has 15% discount codes for Topaz. Great tools I have Denoise, Sharpen, Gigapixel and JPEG to Raw. They came as a bundle.

Great product.

TOPAZ suggests using their software in this order if you use more than one on any given image.

1. DeNoise
2. Sharpen
3. Mask
4. Gigapixel

Good luck!

I use Topaz Sharpening and Denoise with good results, providing you don't over drive the applications. It can affect printing results if you use too much sharpening and denoise. Second, I thought $79.00 is a bargain but what Topaz does, is to issue you the most recent version and after about a year or two, they stop sending you updates and require you purchase an updated version. Be prepared to purchase updated versions in the very near future if you want the most recent versions. Although I have Denoise and Sharpening, I do everything possible to get the image right without using these applications and only use them for minor small touch up to give images a little pop.

Wait for the annual Black Friday specials. I got a year's updates on all eight of my Topaz products for $29; a real bargain!
