One can sooner stop the sun from rising than deny the arrival of mirrorless cameras.
LAST CAMERA??!!!
My grandmother had an expression for good folks that she liked- "You should live 'till 120"! From your picture, relative to 120, you are just a kid" You have many happy, healthy and prosperous years to come and the GAS monster is gonna get you way before the grim reaper. At the rate that technology is moving, the latest and greatest mirrorless camera is only the tip of the iceberg. More impressive and expensive goodies are yet to come.
I have always been Nikon man and still have a D750, D7200 and D300s but after buying a Sony A600 and a RX10iv I seldom use the Nikons any more. One exception to that would be if I were to shoot for pay such as wedding photos, portraits or anything commercial it would be the D750 which I will never get rid of .
I presently shoot with a Nikon D7100 and a D7200. According to the wife I will need to start a "Go Fund Me" page to upgrade!!

My first was a Sony F707 and unless I experience something very dramatic, my last is a Sony RX10 IV. 5 Canon DSLR’s in-between.
Not very important, but it just occurred to me.

Every one of my five has been “the last one” until I bought the next one.

I also have a Sony RX10MIV and while it’s great for what I use it for, shooting wildlife from a kayak, there’s no way it can replace my Nikon Z7 and D500. There is nothing else out there that is fairly easy to use in a kayak, that is weather sealed, and that can give me their zoom range, burst speed and focus tracking I get from the Sony. I don’t love the menus or ergonomics, not a fan of electronic zoom, and when it’s time to post process those Nikon raw files are so much better to work with. It’s an amazingly capable bridge camera. One big disappointment is that electronic zoom won’t work properly if I try to use it in my Outex cover when I’m kayaking in salt water. (That salt spray will eventually kill any weather sealed camera)

My first was Nikon D80. Then a D90. Then to D600. D610. Now D850. No where else to go. The 850 is the best there is and im getting too damn old to buy anymore. However there is one more lens Id like to buy
Isn’t it funny that there’s always “one more.” It never ends.

PS: If she ever catches on, my current "LAST" camera will indeed be my last, grin.
I started using the term “for now.”
My 1st was Sony 707 then Sony 717 then Sony A700 Now Sony A77ii. Still trying to master the A77ii.

Maybe after the Pandemic, I may have an unforeseen GAS attack, but my current Sony seems to satisfy my photographic appetite.
Never say never!!

My "first" digital was a Canon 6mp at "the turn of the century".
I believe my D600 will be my last. Rebuilt by Nikon.
It is identical enough to my (previous) D7100 that it just fits me.
As long as it ain't broke and ain't stole it works too well for me to complain.
Well my first digital camera's were Nikons. I must say the D200,D300,D700 were a joy to work with. Would shoot shots in places like Puerto Rico for a NSM meeting to come. And add into the AV for the corp annual meeting.
Before it was film Nikon's for acquisition of hundreds of visuals for big AV exhibitions. Quit on D800's.
A few years I bought a Sony NEX for a trip to London. Liked the visuals and Sony was my choice.
The a7 series I still keep the a7s II great for lowlight stills but most of all video.
I am now spry 77. Sold some of the Sony stuff. Kept the a7s II. And wanted
a different approach. Now a Fuji fan boy. Have the XT-3 and the SX-10. Love these camera's will
buy the XT-4 someday soon. Bought some lens and some 3rd party lens are pretty good.
I am so impressed with these camera's. Their is a creative joy to using them. Better economics. The lens are
impressive. And the attitude of the Fuji is involved all the time with helping the shooter.
These will be my last camera(s).
why is that? as compared to Nikon's? Thank you for a reply please
I jumped from IV to VI last week for longer lens. Great cameras!
My first digital camera was a Sony Mavica FD 92 with a whopping 1.2 MP. It shoots on floppy disc or memory sticks. It is still functioning today and I still have 4 batteries that hold a charge. Present main camera is a Nikon D7200. I am always searching for the next camera
