Depending on what version of the 5D you have, it can be quite up to date. It has been the go-to camera for landscape photographers and still is. I have one that I really like. It's not fast enough (not enough frames per second) to shoot wildlife or fast-moving subjects. I find it does an excellent job when attached to a good lens.
Wildlife no but I have a 17 40 Canon on it . Really like that lens to for landscapes !
Beautiful, clear, sharp photos, CF. You may be right about it's natural look.
I have a 5d mark ii that I upgraded to from my t1i just a couple years ago and I love it.
Just because it's a few years old doesn't make it any less capable than it was new.
It's just missing a few of the bells and whistles that have been added over the years.
IQ looks good enough to me.
Your composition of frame one is great imho too... Nice work!
As has often been said the photographer matters far more than the equipment.
Even so the few digital cameras I've had that are that old are far less satisfactory (cheap point & shoots).
I do now have a couple that are nearly 15 years old - they still give good images & can even manage things my newer cameras can't. (That's not just the excuse I give my wife for holding in to them!)
With the exception of a souvenir disposable all my film cameras are at least twice as old, a few are nearer 70.

I use my D100 and D200 Nikons daily, have had themfor 25+ years. Also love to shoot film, use F2 F3 and a FTN that shot great photos from the summit of Mt. Everest!! They all work great!!
