On first encounter, I don’t care for it, probably because I’m resistant to change when something works well the way it is. I suppose I’ll get used to it.

Interesting--mine changes to white.

Never mind-- I was referring to the download background.

Kudos to Admin for the change. Clearly (now that I see even better), the impetus for the change is that as we get older, our eyes become more challenged. These changes to the menu items address this issue. I'm sure that if 'our' demographics were published, we would find that there is a high percentage of UHH members in the 'older' category.

Took a short time to adjust my mind to the new look - like it very much so far.

Function buttons are certainly more evident.

A big change, but not radically different. An effective evolutionary change for improvement on what already worked.

I like it!

Just brought up UHH and it's in a new format. 20210304/1818 EST

Not judging. Just different. Looks like everything is still there.

Not sure yet if I like it but, like anytthing else I'll get used to it.

I think it’s an improvement although I wish there was a little more contrast between the viewed & the unviewed headings. I keep losing my place.

Unconscious me, I didn’t really notice a difference except for more responsive link buttons. The exception being the (Send) and (after replying....) combination, which I occasionally find myself a little annoyed with. Cutting to the chase, I like it.

I was fine with the prior format - eventually I'll be okay with this one.

I don’t know, yet. I usually agree with the old adage “if it works, no need to fix it”

Now if only the "baby sh** yellow" background would get changed. I don't know about anyone else but for me it affects the way I see colors in the thumbnails, they all look a bit off. And not only does it take time to open images to see the colors but a lot of people don't use the download option.

Pssssst- Admin - hint, hint, wink, wink. Any plans to change the color?

And practicing for 4 weeks from today: how many have suggested you might try a different image for your ID. At least for that one day.
OK, OK, I'll put myself in a time out!!!
Very workable, just have to get used to it. br br... (show quote)

The “yellowish” background is easier on the eyes than a white background. A lot of screen time has adverse effects:

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Wasn't broken. Shouldn't have been "fixed". It isn't nearly as bad as what was done to some other forums but the site was better 48 hours ago than now.

When I clicked the link for the Daily Digest in today's UHH email I got the new format. I thought the link shuffled me off to some other web site, especially since I had to sign-in to my account which is usually automatic.

Yes! Maybe change for the sake of change, or maybe the surface changes are hiding significant improvements in operation.
