The Bible Says...

Look at it from a different angle. We don't promote theft, adultery, alcoholism, and really most other sins, but we do promote homosexuality. Why?
Who is promoting homosexuality? Asking to not be discriminated against isn't promoting.

I don't know if I agree with you here, but if the tendency to be born with a sexual attraction for the same sex is passed on genetically, having homosexuals feel comfortable about their sexuality in our culture will reduce their number in the long run. In past generations, I imagine many people partnered with the opposite sex and had children because it was expected. Fewer homosexuals procreating via a "cover" relationship will mean the genes
responsible for homosexuality will be reduced in the worldwide pool.

Can't really discern whether or not you are claiming it is genetic.

Its not good to make excuses for homosexuals anymore that it is for other sins. Do you have a kid who struggles with being a thief? how about a really hot temper? or lying? They were born with this attribute, would you make excuses for them or would you help them fight the urge to sin and help them grow up?
Sin is sin, we all wrestle with something. Not all wrestle against the same thing but we all have something we fight against.
Why can't you practice your religion and leave other people alone? You are the first I've ever heard claim that people are born thieves, liars, and generally disagreeable persons. I don't suppose you have any science to back that up?

He spoke of the consequences of unbelief. Very strongly. His message was offensive to many and thats why they killed him. His message still offends many for people don’t want to submit.
Secular scholars have many theories.
It is man’s nature to look for the easier path. Thats not to say the Westboro Baptist church types are right - they’re not. Everyonenis tempted by different things. Not allbyield to them.
He was killed because he was seen as a threat to the powers of the time.

When you come out of denial, we can discuss whatever you wish.

I think it is, but I'm not confident about it. I remember a study years ago comparing hypothalamus development in Hetero vs Homosexual males. It was during the AIDS explosion. This might be a simlar article.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1887219/All that I surely know, is that the sexual orientation of a person is one of their least important attributes and there are no wrong answers. I was born male, white and hetero and brought up in the United States in a loving two-parent household. In other words, I won life's lottery. That said, it is not my fault that I pulled a straight flush nor is it my children's fault that they are white, well-educated, and much loved.

I’m not the one in denial.

Yep. The bible is best left out of politics.
So is the agenda of the left.

He was. Consider the following - in Hebrew/Aramaic his name translates to The Shield or He or Shields. The same as the previous Moses; so He claimed that mantle. Consider the Beatitudes - their translated as blessed but that's not quite right, better would be
Bowed to are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Bowed to are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Bowed to are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth [all of it]
Bowed to are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.
Bowed to are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Just a little bit different. Much more Old Testament in flavor. As in Judgement will be handed out and you're on the wrong end of it.
This assumes a straight translation from the Greek back to the Aramaic/Hebrew that they were most likely originally spoken in. Translated into English.

More power to her. Religion is not necessarily the answer.. Jesus is however.

There are also many who believe God placed each word in the Book.
It was written by well intentioned but fallible men. Anything made by man is fallible.
Regarding the lines by Jesus that I referenced, surely you are familiar with the scene where he was asked which laws are the most important and he answers, Love God with all your heart and all your soul...love you neighbor as yourself. He who follows these two laws shall know eternal life.

Then there in lies the problem you don’t believe the Bible is the infallible word of God.
You pick and choose what you want to believe.
You want to do whatever you like, and if that were the case why would Jesus say this
John 3:3, and Paul references it in 2Corinthians 5:17. If we are born again we will want to please God.
We will not want to do the crap we use to do. We must submit give ourselves over to Christ and let
the Holy Spirit of God work within us to change us.
John 3:3
New King James Version
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
New King James Version
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

I do. They’re way cooler than you are.

It sounds like you judge your belief system to be superior...what would Jesus think of that?
I don't think I have put you down or judged you negatively because you believe the Word is God's literal words...
I don't view your perspective as flawed or a problem...Jesus preached love of everyone...not just the like minded.
