The 25 mile radius condition is to help local populations achieve inoculation. There is a large disparity between the "poor" and the "well off" in our country. You might fair better by looking at nearby mega sites in NY. Make sure you register.

Zip Codes are usually in alphabetical order with in a region within a state. I believe that all Calif. Zip Codes start with a 9.

Not like the US has exclusive rights to the use if them. "ZIP code", yes, the numbers, no.
Google Maps seems to assume ZIP code. Maybe because we're in the US?

Went to USPS website and searched for zip code 12038 came back as invalid. Most if not all CA zip codes are 9 something.

Yes, Walgreens' system is screwed up. Entering a NY zip code should let me check Walgreens in NY. It shouldn't tell me that the zip code is in another state or another country. As it turns out, Walgreens and CVS are not following the NYS guidelines for the Covid vaccine. People with serious medical conditions are allowed to get the vaccine, but pharmacies aren't following that rule.

The whole system for getting appointments is screwed up. The State site is not accurate, and there is seldom an appointment available. Every other provider has it's own site, and those sites are neither accurate, nor are they following state guidelines. My son will have to make a ten-hour round trip drive to get each shot, yet other people walk to the corner pharmacy. I just have one more three-hour round trip, and my second shot gets delivered on Wednesday.

Zip codes start in the East and work their way West, first number 0 is east coast first number 9 is west coast. All of the 120 zip codes are in the NY Capital area, all the 130,131,and 132 are in Central New York Syracuse having 132. That is to the best of my memory from 1974 when I worked at the USPS. Google zip code maps you will see how it is broken up east to west and north and south
