2 years ago we were there in mid-March. Except for a few overlooks, the roads were not plowed and the park was basically closed. We found a trail from just outside Tropic that led us into the park below the rim. We had it all to ourselves. Thanks for the remind.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Beautiful Jim, I love the contrast of the red rocks with the white snow, I think this brings out the rock elements even stronger!

It sure does, Joe and that is why I always make an attempt to get down here in the winters when Bryce has good snow. Have captured some great shots here over the years. Many thanks for stopping by and having a look, Joe!!

You are welcome dreff...good to someone else has enjoyed this experience. I've been there when they couldn't even blow the snow off the walks and were warning people to be extra cautious. In fact, they closed the main road right after the Sunset Point turnoff!

We visited Bryce in February 2010 after an intense snowstorm and it was beautiful, as are your images here. Thanks for the memories. I’m not willing to return in winter though as I was very disappointed that there were no trails safe to hike into the canyon without gear we didn’t have. I had hopes of hikes as we had done it before. Unfortunately, we haven’t been back since. We had reservations and plans last April, but...darn Covid! Still hoping, and in the meantime enjoying your images. Stunning colors! Ellen L

Wonderful photos! I've been to Bryce Canyon NP several times, but never in the winter. It really looks different with snow! Hope you dressed warmly.

The snow was beautiful, the cold, biting wind, not so much! We had some very strong, spring like winds on this trip that chilled you to the bone. However, that did not detract form the beauty of the N.P. and out I went to capture a few scenes. These were taken at Sunset Point the first evening looking into the amphitheater as the "Golden Hour" light was beginning to illuminate the basin. Have more to post in days to follow from other points in the Park.

The snow adds a nice contrast.
