You can pass that BS on to the newest person who died this morning from her shot! Good luck!

They obviously are not “exactly” the same. If they were the storage conditions and interval between shots would be the same.

It might be fair to say the way they work is similar. And even similar enough that the CDC experts advise you can mix and match and get a similar result. That is, the second shot can be the other vaccine from the first. There is no testing to support that idea but it must be a logical guess by those who know a lot more about this than I do.

She was a registered nurse and specifically said that the chemistry was exactly the same. One cc total, half at two different times Why would she make that up? I guess that no two batches tomato juice are exactly are the same either.

If any of you are veterans and use the VA for healthcare, be advised that the VA is offering vaccine. I signed up with the state (NJ) weeks ago and have not heard anything about an appointment because the supply is very limited. I am over way over 65, so I am in the 1B category. I signed up with the VA about a week ago and got my first Moderna shot yesterday, and I am scheduled for the 2nd in early March.

Already had my second shot. No side effects whatsoever.

I had not been aware of anyone dying from the shot itself. If you have any article or documentation you can share that explains this I would be most appreciative. Thanks, Richard (nervous2)

The question of Awesome14 was whether the first dose of the Moderna (or Pfizer vaccines) were the same as the second dose of the same vaccine, not whether the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are the same. You are correct, these two manufacturers vaccines are different but the first shot of either vaccine is the same as the second shot of the respective vaccine.

It is true that deaths following Covid vaccination have been investigated. However, whether one chooses to believe it or not, thus far no death has been conclusively attributed to Covid vaccination.

Oh, and as I understand it the doses are very different too.

The first and second doses are the same. This applies to Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines.
For the Russian "sputnik" covid vaccine, the two doses are different.

And mostly people with severe allergic reactions are the ones being hit hard and as far as what I read the few people who died all had allergic reactions.

The reason why my Wife and I are driving to the Kaiser Riverside (CA) Medical Center for our shots instead of the local shot locations.
I have many/severe allergies and asthma so I wanted to get my shots where the ER etc. was handy in case I had a reaction. As is I didn't even have a sore spot or itch or anything. We are getting the Pfizer vaccine. Second shot on Feb 22nd.

Our oldest son got the Moderna and felt a little rocky for a couple of hours after number one.
Our daughter and all the other Med Students at the University of Virginia (she is 3rd year and spends a lot of time in the hospital around patients) got Moderna and she had a very mild reaction to #1 and a mild to #2 - She was still functioning but since she had not been sick since she was in about 2nd grade by contrast she felt awful. Of course she knew her reaction was mild but to her it felt awful.

I once worked with a guy in his mid 30's who had never been sick in his life since he was old enough to remember it and he got a moderate head cold. You would have thought he was going to die the way he acted. After a couple of days people were offering to put him out of his misery if he didn't shut up and the boss told him to go home, take some sick days and don't come back to work until he was over it.

None of the people who had an allergic reaction died, they were all given epinephrine and recovered without any problems. And the number who had a severe allergic reaction is very small, 10 cases out of the 4,000,000 who were injected. My son who has bad allergies and asthma had both of his shots without any problems and I have had my first shot without any problem and also have severe allergies.

I dont know where you get your info from but you have to look a little closer. The first week they started administering the vaccine 6 people died in the UK, all of those deaths attributed to the vaccine. The number of deaths is at 25 in the US as of today. Google it!
