Wonderful image, Bob. I don't think it needs much processing. Maybe a little cropping?

Maybe you should write a book Bob!

No I don't believe it is unless conditions are perfect. I see photos from different forums and often it's easy to pick out the ones with no post.
Bill, you are not the first one to suggest this. Some folks on UHH as well as some of my in-person tutees have suggested similarly. I have posted several tutorial type articles here on UHH that were well received.
However, one must look at the amount of time needed to write a book and balance that with the number of books already on the market. I think I'd rather be involved more with making photographs. Though, I try to make myself available to tutor when needed/requested.
I do appreciate your suggestion, though.

Yes, It depends on what you want. I shoot SOOC JPEG Fine sometimes with a little auto enhancement thru Apple Photos. Does the job for me and it’s all I want at this point in my journey.
The answer to all things photographic is, it depends.

But instead on many cases he planned on how he would do the PP before he even took the picture. He made the measurement of his subject then decided on how to expose it, how to develop the film and how to print it.
Depending what kind of results you want and what kind of subjects you have. In many cases you can do it SOOC but other times you can't.
