Mr. Smith dies in Ireland:
Mr. Smith and Mr. Obrien worked at the Brewery for many years, and were great friends.
One day at work, Mr. Smith fell into the beer vat and drowned. The other workers thought that Mr. Obrien should be the one to tell the bad news to Mrs. Smith, being that he was so very close with the family.
Mr. Obrien went to the Smith home and knocked on the door. Mrs. Smith answered the door and said: Oh… Mr. Obrien, it is so good to see you this fine day! With a sad look on his face, he said: Mrs. Smith, I come to you today with a very heavy heart. A heavy heart have you, replied Mrs. Smith. What could be the matter with you? Mr. Obrien reluctantly said; Mrs. Smith, your husband, died today at the brewery.
Mrs. Smith fell to the floor in tears. She got back up and asked how it had happened?
Mr. Obrien, said: Your husband feel into the beer vat, and he drowned. Again, Mrs. Smith fell to the floor in tears. She got back up once more, and asked: Mr. Obrien, did my husband suffer??
Mr. Obrien thought a moment and replied: I don’t think so Mrs. Smith, as I distinctly remember him climbing out three times to pee!!!! (I don’t write jokes, so don't yell at me) Boone

there are many many seriously good drinks throughout the World, and our job is to hunt them down and remove them as fast as possible.

It's true the Yanks are taking artisan brews seriously - they always did with Bourbons and Sour Mash Whiskeys, so well done them.

here I hope is a shot of a Sardinian local brew, not bad stuff, suited to the hot Mediterranean

I do like Guinness, also SNPA, and a few others, but homebrew is the best, Bob.

Bob, I will have to respectfully disagree about homebrew being the best beer.
I have searched high & low for many years for the "Best Beer".
I have only encountered it on few occasions and the quality varies greatly. It is incredibly difficult to find.
I have come to the conclusion that the "best beer" by a long shot, is "FREE BEER!"

You wouldn't say that if you sampled Red White and Blue beer.

years and yonks ago I was caravanning in the south of England and spent a night in Canterbury. Parking the van up the road I entered a backstreet pub and ordered a pint.Drinking it my eye fell on a small wooden cask on the counter.Asking what it was brought no joy since the present landlord had only been in the pub a week. It contained beer,he believed.I asked for a pint from it and was given one "at my own risk".
The brew was black, fullbodied and tasted strongly of blackcurrant. The word "hussars" could just be made out on the wood. I had two pints from the cask ,which emptied it,then set off back to my caravan.
To my surprise, indeed,my dismay,I found I could not walk straight.Eventually I was reduced to clinging to one lamp post after another, inwardly praying no Plod saw me because I was manifestly drunk and incapable. Eventually I reached my vehicle, climbed in and fell upon my bed fully clothed.I slept for ten hours and `awoke to the sound of heavenly choirs; not a trace of hangover.
What I had drunk I never found out but it remains in my mind as the fiercest brew I have ever imbibed and I recall drinking a half bottle of brandy in twenty minutes as a student and walking home without so much as a stagger.

Beer Snobs

After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.

The guy from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Senor, I would like the world's best beer, a Corona." The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.

The guy from Budweiser says, "I'd like the best beer in the world, give me 'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser." The bartender gives him one.

The guy from Coors says, "I'd like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He gets it.

The guy from Guinness sits down and says, "Give me a Coke." The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.

The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask "Why aren't you drinking a Guinness?" and the Guinness president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys aren't drinking beer, neither would I."

I do like a Corona w/Lime I do.
