Beer Snobs
After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.
The guy from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Senor, I would like the world's best beer, a Corona." The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.
The guy from Budweiser says, "I'd like the best beer in the world, give me 'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser." The bartender gives him one.
The guy from Coors says, "I'd like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He gets it.
The guy from Guinness sits down and says, "Give me a Coke." The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.
The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask "Why aren't you drinking a Guinness?" and the Guinness president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys aren't drinking beer, neither would I."
I do like a Corona w/Lime I do.

Ha ha ha ha ha....my husband works for a Budweiser/Craft Beer Company. I'll have to send him that - he'll think it's funny because they also sell Guinness.
Budweiser's hurtin' these days. Craft Beers are taking over.

Must have some money. They bought out our local micro-brewery here in Portsmouth. 'Red Hook'. Good beers though.

I remember back in '68, flying from LA to Des Moines, I was seated next to a gentleman who was just returning from a Budwesier national sales meeting. One of his carry-ons was a handworked, wooden display case that had 2 beautiful custom made, Budweiser beer steins. He was telling me about a tour they had all taken. It went through the famous Clydesdale stables. The president of the company was touting the fact that the stable floors were kept so clean that you could eat off of them, and to prove his point, waiters came out and set up their afternoon luncheon right there on the floor.
He was really impressed, and so was I.
They're trying to come out with beers to compete with craft. My husband's company owns 7 Budweiser Distributors, but about 10 years ago he started buying up distribution rights for craft beers. He's now the largest in the US with craft beers. They just had a buy the craft division its own distribution site here in MA, because they were sharing a building and they are bigger than Budweiser now.

I had to look up 'craftbeer' and it's a pretty interesting story...

Like the joke I'll send that to my drinking buddies!
I had to do a search on "craft beers", I found out that they're proper beers!
Believe the micro-brewery industry is thriving in the States, that's good news. I went to a tiny bar in Copenhagen where they sold proper beers and the pub was owned by an American who'd started brewing over there [Denmark].
Luckily here in UK we've still got lots of lovely beers and micro-brewers are thriving.
Here's a shot of a happy Englishman enjoying his first Kwak! in a Brussels bar.
Cheers! Kwak!
This calls for a toast to all of you great friends on UHH.
As another Guinness drinker I have to say... LOL!

Okay, I also like the Oatmeal Stout from the Lafayette Brewing Co. microbrewery here in Lafayette IN. U.S.A.
I know a bit about beers and wines so,naturally,I make my own. One brewery starts off fermenting with a dead rat in the vat. Another flays a goat and stuffs that in.I have heard of Spanish vignerons pissing in it,but until I have proof it is only a rumour.
At present I have instore five gallons of homebrew I made five years back. Any takers? No guarantees as to taste,of course. It cd range from Budweiser to angel piss.
Another goody is a 1998 bottle of Portuguese aguardente that has turned black in the bottle and was worth £250 at the last valuation.Bids in £20 lots, please. Similar I have tasted in Portugal goes down the throat like a torchlight procession.
