I fully agree with that analysis and suggestions. I flip images often for compositional reasons. We in the Americas and Europe and much of the world read left to right. Asia and Middle East often Right to Left. It makes a difference when viewing a photograph.
Thanks for the suggestion. I never thought of this before.
Perfect photo in every respect!
I would NOT flip the photo under any circumstances. We do things in a natural left to right progression, which is what you have here. To me, flipping it would look awkward.

This is my first posting to this group. Honestly its the first time I really wanted some serious critique of an image.
I'm on the verge of making a large print of this for my doctors office. Might be 16 or 20" width, what ever works out with the least cropping. But print size and aspect is also a reason I'm posting this. Will also be making a couple other prints of it as well.
I think I need all of the images height to protect the eagles wingtips in the printing. Going large because of where it is going to be displayed. So please do offer thoughts on print size and aspect.
Thanks very much,
Bill

Bill,
Beautiful eagle shot, and I think it will make a fine wall print!
Agree that you are constrained in cropping by those wonderful wingtips, and I don't think anything on the far right side adds anything, so I would probably go landscape in an 8 1/2 X 11 ratio, and not clip the branches off of that tree on the left way in the background.
Size would be up to the client, but it certainly looks like it could support big. There is always Topaz Sharpen and Gigapixel if you think it needs any help.
Good job, and let us know how it turns out,
Marshall
Great shot!!!! Thanks for sharing.
For me the background of multi colors detracts from the detail you captured in the eagle. A blue sky with some water and the reeds plus the flipped version might be a lot better for me

Besides suggestions, I think the bird is too tight in the frame.
You already have a lot of good suggestions but mine would be simple. What ever you choose for the background, blur it so it does not take away from the glorious eagle. Yes, do what you can with the slightly blown out head.
Great Shot and worth being on a wall. I did the following to your photo.
1) Topaz Studio AI Clear
2) Exposure adjust a little
3) Clarity a little
4) Topaz Denoise AI
I thought it looked a little better.
