I have the same issue. One of my favorite road trips is to visit my kids in west Montana. I prefer the road going through Jackson/Wisdom because there is usually more wildlife through that valley and over the mountain, the green farmland is also very picturesque. but the road is very narrow and the shoulder is very steep right off the pavement with nowhere to pull off. It is even worse when I take our RV, so I end up missing a lot of opportunities. I always keep my camera at hands reach but very seldom in an area where I can pull over. Wish I had a good answer for you. When I do find a place to pull over I will just get out and walk a ways to try and find something. Good luck, hoping someone on here might have a better solution.

Yes, but the context for the question was created in the sentence just before it. You just ignored the entire paragraph and took the last sentence out of context and responded incorrectly.

The sentence only concerned mode of transportation to a photo site. Nothing there fit to respond to. I responded to the title and the question. My biggest failure was not to ignore the inane post.

A not uncommon thing for me is to see a nice shot while driving, but there is no safe and convenient place to pull off. I wished I was in a motorbike and could pull off onto whatever meager strip of shoulder the road might offer me. Has any tried photography from a bicycle, motorbike or Vespa motor-scooter?

I have an Ebike and sometimes I use it just to take pix. as said its a lot easier than walking, There is a secluded beach about 5 miles from my house down a dirt road. I take the ebike and camera there all the time . I gets lots of great pix on the way out. I wouldnt do it if there was a narrow shoulder and cars going by at 50 mph. No photo is worth getting kit or killed.

Always. Have thousands of pix from my bicycle.

When I had my Harley I bought a handlebar mount for mounting a point & shoot. It was aimed straight down the road. Just push the button with no looking through the view finder. A few shots came out pretty good. Anything else required stopping. It was fun to have some pictures of the group in front going down the road.

I did on a bicycle when I was younger and had stronger legs, but only rarely and for short distances usually urban, suburban, locally. Back then I carried a SLR with only the one lens in a handlebar bag. Would only consider it these days if I had an electric bike.

I am doing it many times when there is an awesome shot possibility. Yes I stop, safely on the side of the road when there is enough room provided and turn of the machine. You know, the shake and vibration dont do well in exposure. As to take the picture while moving/riding, No. The vibration alone is a factor not to mention my liter bike, no I do not mess around with that.
Stop,
get it on centre stand
that allows You to sit like pro
while compose perhaps one of the lifetime shots.

I have enjoyed this post and notice that many use the term "motorcycle" without regard to size or style. While you can ride a bicycle off in soft dirt or even a scooter, there is a world of difference in riding a small cycle and riding a full size one. No one wants to shoot off the road with 850 lbs or so to hold up or even put on a side stand in soft dirt. Different highways offer different opportunities but full size cycles don't do dirt!

LCD it is obvious that you never rode a motorcycle. Stopping on a "meager strip" is an accident waiting to happen. I rode for many years and there is no way I would stop on a narrow shoulder. If it isn't wide enough for a car it wasn't safe enough for a bike.

ROFL!

"If it isn't wide enough for a car it wasn't safe enough for" (you on) "a bike."

Consider yourself well advised to speak for yourself.

So according to your logic, there is no need to read a book. Just go to the end of the book and read the last sentence, since everything before it is useless.

Your interpretation of the last sentence was incorrect because you ignored the context for the question that was created in the previous sentence.

I've done dirt on a K2 Honda 750/4, an 1100 Katana, a YZF750SP,
and a gen 1 ZX10R, and had fun doing it.

You lot are a bunch of beige old ladies blouses.

This's what you should be wearing Country Boy LOL:
