We get these calls every day over the mid-day time period. I have taken to turning the fax machine on and letting it pick up these nuisance callers. Hopefully they will stop calling.
I get both phone calls and cards. I can't tell you how many said "last call" or "last opportunity."
It's gambling; you're betting that your car will fail you.
Occasionally, when I'm bored, I go through the dance to get to the eventual human. I used to say, "I'm glad you called. Do you sell anything that gets blood out of curtains?", but in my gentler dotage, I have switched to, "I'm glad you called. Do you sell anything that gets snot out of oatmeal?". I usually get the last word.

He told me it was the last call!
So I said: Last Call?
He said : Yes
I said: GREAT!!! Good Bye!
I'm not sure that will work, but it was fun!

Astonished you answer the phone.
If I ever do, I insult them, call them names and do everything I can to irritate. They don't call back :)

It has never worked for me.
Scams will likely never stop. In the last week I've received several from "The Senior Club" a club where you can get all kinds of things free. The first year is free and then it is only $15 a year. I figure they are trying to get credit card or debit card informatio so they can clean out your bank accunt. I had one this evening and kept the caller on the line long enough to get that information and when she asked If I'd like to join, I responded, "Oh, hell no, this is a robo scam call." Then i hung up.
I'm still getting those calls for my 1994 Subaru, which I bought used and replaced three years ago. I'm like, Really?
