I get 5 or 6 warranty calls a week and two or three letters a week that look like a personalized greeting card trying to sell me hearing aids. I’m thinking the hearing aid marketers don’t do robo calls because I might not hear the phone ringing.

Generally I just ignore. But when the mood suits me I will answer.
When they ask what kind of car I respond "1920 Packard" followed by "You wasted my time. I'll waste yours."

Ever get Evelyn, from Med Alert. I keep blocking her on every 917 exchange number I get. I should be close to the end of 917 numbers now.

Our son works for PENN DOT but never owned a vehicle of any kind. He gets these calls and letters all the time.

I get SO tired of these calls. Funny thing is, they know the vehicle name, but have the year wrong. When I tell them I don't own a vehicle of that description, then they want to know what it really is. Like they think I'm stupid enough to tell them?????

I fixed it with getting rid of my land line, no more warranty calls, no more political calls, no more you are selected for a low rate credit card call, now when they call that number they get, sorry the number you have called has been disconnected πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Nothing works. I'm still getting calls for my son's 9-year-old Hyundai that he traded in, last year. They always start out by saying "this is our last courtesy call." That is, until the next call.

I let it go to voice mail and then delete it. I get a very small amount of satisfaction in that, because the call got through, they're a least paying a fruitless, long-distance phone call charge. Robo calls like these must act the same way bulk (junk) mail serves the USPS.

So, are any of the extended warranty companies any good?

We have an answering machine and callers are directed to leave a message. Our phone set has program settings for blocked numbers, special ringtones for certain numbers, audio announcement of caller ID. During the time it took to type this reply, two junk calls came in.

I have seen a lot of TV ads about auto warranties but have never received a phone call about them. What am I doing wrong?
But I don't answer any calls that caller ID doesn't tell me who is calling or if I don't recognize the phone number. Maybe that's the problem. The callers don't hang around long enough to activate the answering machine.

He said : Yes
I said: GREAT!!! Good Bye!

Come to think about it, ever since I pressed some number my phone has been quiet. You know, I almost miss them!

I've received about a hundred "Final Notice" mails from them...
