Not certain, and no way to scale it. Looks a bit like the one that hit my car. No bird expert here!
Quickdraw,
I used to have a stuffed version of this bird. It had flown into the side of a friends car. He saved it for me and I had another friend turn it into a half mount / half study skin. Had it for years from when I used to carve birds. Long long ago. I'm pretty sure its a Sharpshinned Hawk.
The birds and critters were noticeably absent this morning. Then we saw why. Apparently the song birds are not the only ones who appreciate the old Christmas tree standing by the feeders.
Sorry. For a change I intended to upload directly from my pc. Apparently I messed up.

My guess, looks like a Peregrine falcon, whatever it is its a beautiful shot.
I think it is a Coopers Hawk. A Sharp-shinned Hawk has a more rounded head.
Yuo could be correct. It just serms a tad small for a Coopers, and largr for a Shatpshinned as well. It will br back and hopefully Ill grab se bettrt images
