We used to farm together some with Delbert when I was a teenager, so I spent a lot of time around that barn. There were other outbuildings at the time, but they are all gone now. The farm has fortunately stayed in the family, and Delbert’s grand-nephew and family live there now.

This image attracts me first because of the quality of the image, but then because it takes me back to my days as a youth in rural Iowa. For you, even more than me, it serves as an index to memory.
