This is a barn I’ve been trying to get a good shot of for some time now, and this is the first one I have felt like posting.

We used to farm together some with Delbert when I was a teenager, so I spent a lot of time around that barn. There were other outbuildings at the time, but they are all gone now. The farm has fortunately stayed in the family, and Delbert’s grand-nephew and family live there now.

Great image but better the story that the farm has fortunately stayed in the family, and Delbert’s grand-nephew and family live there now. That is amazing.

I agree with my esteemed associate, Stan, on both the story and the photograph.

Nice! A place with character and personal significance... I have seen any like this in rural Indiana, and they really have presence.

Thank you for sharing plus a very nice shot of the family barn. Good shots take work unless you get extremely lucky.

One of the great memories that are important to those who were there. Took me a bit, must be slowing down - considering Delbert's first name with his last, do you suspect his parents had a sense of humor?
