Great shot! From Beauty Bay? I loved living in CDA but now we are in Santa Fe. I miss CDA every day!
I wish I had a lens like your FR 800 only for my nikon!

Regis, you and eagles, still. Still a great shot. Still making everyone else look bad. Even my wife liked this shot. Seriously, great shot.
Hope you and your family had a great Christmas. Now it's time to wish you a Happy New Year, so please, have a great one.
Michael

Regis, fantastic photo as usual. I got a 2x tc for my 600mm lens and used it on my R5 and had great results. I was surprised that AF worked at an f-stop of 22 and and length of 1200mm. If interested the photo is in the close up section with a title of "Yates Mill Pond".

The Moon photo is excellent for detail, Greg. I was also surprised to find the auto-focusing works at f/22 when I first tried the Canon R5/RF 800 combo with the RF 2x extender, but that is the advantage of a mirror-less camera and lens.
Thank you, Greg.

You had a great day yesterday Regis. Again. Super photo.

Ditto what jabra said.

When the Sun is shining the photos are nice and sharp. But, in north Idaho this time of year we have cloudy skies most of the time.

Thank you very much, Appy.

Thanks for all these replies to comments Regis. I learn something nearly every time. Very surprised at light weight being easier to hold steady.

My older Canon 5Dsr (great camera) and older lens, Canon 300 2.8 (great and very sharp) are twice the weight versus the Canon R5 and RF 800 lens. But they both compare in sharpness. When your walking at least a mile to photograph the Eagles, it's nice to have lighter equipment. I just turned 77 and I'm not as strong as I used to be. Also, the Canon R5 has built-in stabilization as well as the lens making it easier to hand-hold your shots without using a tripod.

Thank you very much, Appy.
