Great image, Regis. Wonderful feather detail.

The weather was terrific with a lot of sunshine which brings out the detail of the Eagles. A rare event for North Idaho which is cloudy for this time of year.
I thank you very much, AzPicLady.

Regis, fantastic photo as usual. I got a 2x tc for my 600mm lens and used it on my R5 and had great results. I was surprised that AF worked at an f-stop of 22 and and length of 1200mm. If interested the photo is in the close up section with a title of "Yates Mill Pond".

Superb shot. You forgot to mention "hand held" - but knowing your fantastically detailed shots, I bet it was.

Yes, all my shots are hand held for the last 8 years. However my camera is small and light plus my RF 800 lens only weighs 2.77 lbs., so it is easy to hand hold. The Canon R5 is equal in sharpness to my Canon 5Dsr (50 MP) and my RF 800 is super sharp so all this brings out the detail. I still get good detail at 100 yards.
Thank you, Delderby.

Regis, you are still the master when it comes to eagle photos!

I appreciate your good comment, John, but there are many wildlife photographers that are better than me. I do the best I can.

Regis, I always admire your photography and impressed at your ability to hand-hold most, if not all, of the photos you post. The present one is awesome!!!

My camera and lens are light, making it easy to hand hold my shots.

I thank you very much, FL Streetrodder.

Thanks for all these replies to comments Regis. I learn something nearly every time. Very surprised at light weight being easier to hold steady.
