Me too! I just moved to GA from Philadelphia and am now dealing with trying to scan a couple of thousand 35mm slides and as many negatives. It's my maim retirement project.

erickter, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I've been using digitals since 1996 but won't give up using film.

I still have mine too. Same model but in chrome. Bought it in 1972 while in Tokyo. In 1976, back in Japan again and bought my Nikon F2as, which I loved even more. Shot that all over US, Japan, Europe and S. America for 30 years. Full c and bw dark room too. Switched to DSLRs in 2006. Only way to fly now for me. Never going back to film. However, I admire your bw film work from AZ. It's a beautiful medium that's timeless.

To quote John Candy (from Splash), “When something works for, me I stick with it!” Collecting antiques is even better when they are functioning and usable. Of course, at rest it looks great.
Merry Christmas

That is one beautiful camera Bob. I started out my serious photography with a Nikon F in 1966 and have owned many since as well as other cameras. Since that time not one camera has ever given me any problems at all. At this point in my life I look back at a number of Nikons and Leicas and wish I had held on to them. Life goes on. I wish you many more years of shooting with that Nikon and the rest of your collection.

Merry Christmas to you and yours,

Dennis

I bought last summer a Nikon 1000mmF:11 mirror lens for only $300. When it was new (1970's) I've heard it was around $3200.00
