Lost a good good friend and tennis partner to bladder cancer earlier this year. He had a contracting business and made a lot of things from materials left over on some of his jobs. Among all our decorations this first one has taken on extra special meaning to me at least. No. 2 hardly ever gets put away. No. 3 is always special, too.
Leon, nickname Skeeter, drilled a hole in this leftover glass block, but I'm betting Jane, his wife, stuffed the white lights in through the hole and tied the bow around it. It's been in the décor every year and has taken on extra special meaning.

Thank you. No, my street does not get much traffic and the lights aren't visible from a major street. My display is the only big one--a couple of other houses have small ones, but our street isn't well decorated.
