Lost a good good friend and tennis partner to bladder cancer earlier this year. He had a contracting business and made a lot of things from materials left over on some of his jobs. Among all our decorations this first one has taken on extra special meaning to me at least. No. 2 hardly ever gets put away. No. 3 is always special, too.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend, battling cancer is not easy. I am in remission from stage 4 breast cancer right now. Your Christmas display has a whole new meaning this year. Simply gorgeous.

Thank you. No, my street does not get much traffic and the lights aren't visible from a major street. My display is the only big one--a couple of other houses have small ones, but our street isn't well decorated.

I made my husband drive me around to look at lights I sure would have gone to see yours!
