Jim, I had a D600 original, with not a bit of issue. I enjoyed the camera for quite sometime until I purchased a D750. If this D600 is in immaculate condition with no history of issues, it’s probably worth between 475 and 550.
If Nikon replaced the shutter that would be a big plus. IMHO I thought it was a wonderful camera.

I would not do that. You trade in a newer D7100 (150,000 shutter life) proven capability with good lens, 12-24mm, F/4 for an older D600, rated far below D750. My 2 cents

I have the D610, the model I am sure you know superseded the D600. It has given me excellent service with no issues. Your D7100 camera has been great for their owners. The 12-24 f4 AFS is a great optic. I use mine with my D7000 and the D610, with the latter between 18-24 mm without vignettes.

If I were in your position I would keep what I have unless the camera is not giving you the service you need for your photography.

Thanks

I would like to know your opinions on a deal on a D600 camera with 5741 shutter count battery ,charger ,lexar 64 gb memory card ,strap, and inst. book, for my nikon d7100 with 12,000 shutter count and a nikon 12-24 F/4 lens, charger ,2 batteries and a 77mm uv filter, and a 16 gb card all in EX. shape.I would like to go full frame but thats all I could afford, and how is the D600 camera? thanks Jim Bianco

I would frankly be reluctant to trade just the Nikon 12-24mm F4 for everything being offered--let alone the D7100. The 12-24 is a very nice lens. Good luck.

Nikon agreed to give me a new D610 for my near new d600 due to oil spots that they could not fix after TWO attempts. AND my D610 STILL had oil spots, monthly. I must have cleaned the sensor 50 times. Gave on the platform. Bought a used D800e for about $100 more than I paid for my D6xx and have never had a problem in two years. But, the D610 takes outstanding pictures. Good luck.

If you are asking if the D600 is a worthwhile upgrade over the D7100, i would say yes. The D600 costs around $2100.00 new and the D7100 was around $600.00 cheaper and that was a low shutter count for a used D600.

Did you decide anything about d600? If not, I have a d800 that needs a new home and would be a good match with your d7100. If you would enjoy and appreciate, it is yours if you want it. It would be better than a d600 and you could keep your d7100. It has about 80k clicks but is in excellent condition and was just serviced at Peachtree Camera. Happy holidays, Steve
