I have for years been a backer of the movement to totally replace the postal system as we know it. it is extremely dysfunctional, inefficient and a money down the rat hole enterprise. If they go belly up and close all post offices within the hour it would be a blessing for the tax payer. It is manned by mostly inefficient thieves and many of the employees should be arrested for various crimes.

Please stop the negative view of life for your own well being and the state of mind of the rest of us. It seems like you lead a ‘doom and gloom’ life with every post either a problem or complaint. Think positive thoughts, for your own benefit. I no longer feel sympathy but genuine worry about your state of mind. I suggest more time on the ukelales and less on the computer.

???
For the quote that you responded to he was correct in making his statement! NO DOOM & GLOOM in this post,
just a statement of fact.

I heard this was coming over a month ago, and it was confirmed today. With my daily report of what mail I'm getting today came a big red note. The PO is getting slammed with more packages than usual, and they have a reduced work force, so we can expect delays. Like hospital workers, those who work for the PO are being asked to do more with fewer resources. At least death isn't a regular occurrence in the postal system.

I don't know about that Jerry. Ever heard of "going postal"?

On a regular basis?

He said it wasn't regular.

I was told by a postal employee that top management gets a bonus depending on how much money they save each year . This is the reason they do not hire people even during rush periods .

I have been following this post for the past few days and with every new post, unfortunately yours always comes up in the mix. Hopefully with a few more posts, the new ones will move yours to another page, where it won't be viewed any longer. There are hundreds of us that just happen to like Jerry's posts, so I suggest you go chill out in front of the fireplace with a bottle of Jack Daniels and mellow. Then if you are still concerned about Jerry's well-being, please consult a psychiatrist and ask him why you have this overly parental need to control. I am certain that you could start a "Go Fund Me" page and get a lot of contributions from the UHH readers to pay the bill.

What was well said? Lots of comments here.
Since you didn't quote anyone, we surmise you are referring to the original post.

Just as it's a New Englander's birthright to complain about the weather, we Seniors have earned the right to complain about, well, anything. And God knows we've raised complaining to an art form! Just look at it as Jerry (and the rest of us) venting a little pent up frustration thereby improving his state of mind. And hey; if Jerry stops posting, what'll the rest of us do?

I asked my postmaster how they keep up with more and more mail and less and less support. He told me that they have been doing more with less for so long that they can now do anything without nothing!

Today with the DamPemic (pandemic). More people are doing all the shopping on line. The result is all the shipping services are overloaded. It is a DamPemic way of life. Can't even get face masks delivered.

I'm tracking a USPS package - it reached my local distribution center on Dec 12 but has yet to arrive at my door.
Ridiculous.
