ebay will not help much. I must say that have sold many things successfully on ebay. PayPal is great backup use that account whenever I can. Years ago I learned my ebay lesson. I sold one of my Nikon D800's. The buyer was in Arizona. They committed. I received an email that they had payed from ebay. I shipped as ebay advised.
Got it an an email from ebay. It was a phone email. Camera went to Arizona. UPS dropped it at airport business.
It disappeared. Got the local police after it They saw the gentlemen who got it. They investigated him. They backed off. $3500 lost. UPS took no responsibility. ebay took no responsibility. It was a ring in different states.
Since have sold many items with great success. Bought a few things. Good luck.

As you all probably know - E-Bay is launching their own billing / payment service as of January 1, 2021, and paypal will no longer be their primary $$$ conduit. All selling will go through E-Bay and if you sell, you'll need to link E-Bay to your bank account (no different than Paypal) - although I think (not sure) you may still be able to use Paypal to pay for purchases.
That happened to me several times on eBay. I have never had a problem with them.
