It is threads like this one that justify belonging to UHH; I have learned from this one.
I've been using since is was Jasc PSP 4.0 in the mid/late 90s. Has been great. Easy to learn, no subscription fees (I typically upgrade every other version, but the AI added in 2021 Ultimate, coupled with a good deal, got me to upgrade again this year. I've used Photoshop in the past and find PSP easier to use. I've never had issue with a tool not being available, just that I didn't know how to use it yet. Tutorials abound on YouTube and the built in help/training tools are pretty comprehensive. Try the free trial version. The Ultimate package includes a number of other apps that make purchase price worth it, IMO. They also provide freebies every week (scripts, plugins, etc) and webinars every few weeks. Like any other app, it's a tool, and will only be as beneficial as the effort you put into learning how to use it.
Is PaintShop Pro Mac compatible? I only see it offered for PCs.

I believe that you would have to install Win10 as a sub OS on the Mac to install PSP2021. Am I correct UHH's??

Yes, it's only for Windows
I am new to posting but have been reading the list for a while.
Started out with D3200 and kit 18-55. Currently using D7500 w/18-140. Never got into Adobe products.
I recently started out with PSP. I began with the demo version which included the ability to work with RAW data.
When I bought the package, I saw found that the RAW software was basic and a significant upsell was required to restore the RAW capability supplied with the demo.. Now I use Raw Therapee for working on RAW (NEF) data.
I never really got into the workflow with PSP. Serif had an Affinity promo in progress. The Affinity program was purchased for $25.
Very satisfied with Affinity as an alternative to PSP.
Some of the things I like about Affinity....
1)Serif appears to be less aggressive than Corel in upselling.
2) I am pretty sure that I got a free Affinity upgrade within the past month
3) Affinity is amazing in what it can bring in. I routinely scan photos with my AIO to a pdf format. Affinity brings in the photo pdf, converts it to the proprietary .afphoto format and allows you to post-process before exporting to whatever format you desire. PSP may allow you to do this..I don't know.
4) In-painting is easy in Affinity. Affinity "knows" how to pick a donor area for in-painting so a processing step is eliminated. If this doesn't work you have the option of choosing your own donor area.
5) I find the workflow in Affinity easier to master...When an adjustment is requested, Affinity will provide the requested adjustment plus the results found with incremental plus and minus settings so you can more readily evaluate results.
Affinity has a well established web community...if the official guidance is unclear, you can Google the question and find an answer supplied by other users.
Lots of other small stuff... and lots of stuff still to be discovered.
Thank you all VERY MUCH for your inputs and the discussions!
