Now is a very good time to think of all that we have to be Thankful for. I found this great song by Shawna Edwards to help us get in the mood!
https://youtu.be/XTHDKxOL9cgThanks for the timely challenge, JJ. I'll share just a few of the things I'm grateful for most recently.
Grateful that we went ahead with our travel plans to be with Dad.
Grateful two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law were there in person.
Grateful for an opportunity to witness his amazement with online Zoom meeting. He talked with all 6 grandchildren, and 12 of his 13 great-grandchildren and learned that one more is on the way that none of us knew about. Tying together those in Texas, Nebraska, Kentucky, Louisiana, California, and Oregon. It was just amazing he thought.
Grateful for family …..

On a good note! I watched a live presentation called "The New Nature Photography" Lisa was excellent at explaining ways of improving your photos for printing...specifically using a subject and placing it in a different background if necessary or just using a long, narrow composition. A couple days ago I worked on an abstract (Photo Art) to see what I could produce. I took the photo of the Sandhill cranes last January and the texture is one I purchased. I will be looking for good landscape compositions that will suit my needs. I like the textures that I purchased but nothing like using my own! (Self challenge) :-)

Thanks Judy Juul for this challenge! Lovely start!
I am thankful for many things... my family, my husband, my health, my friends and the fact that I am free and can pretty well do as I please... very fortunate.
Last night was an eye opener as to what we need to be grateful for. There was a fire at our apartment. We are fine. We are on the 7th floor, the fire was at the other end on 4th floor. Most floors did have a lot of smoke. When we finally decided (poor judgment) to check (alarm had been going off for some time and we get complacent as it goes off a lot) The hall was full of smoke and even some in the stairwell. We made it out just fine but it could have been worse. The apartment with the fire was extensively damaged and smoke and water in a couple others. They will be displaced for some time. We were back in ours last night with just a light smell of smoke. And thankfully no one was hurt.
So we are thankful... it could have been worse.
Thanks Judy Juul for this challenge! Lovely start... (
