My Netflix is going up to $17.99 on Dec 15th. This is for the premium version which enables one to watch 4k for those few videos photographed in 4k. I bought a 4k tv set so why not take advantage of the ability to see every pore on a face? I have Amazon Prime, Netflix streaming and Netflix DVD, At&T TV, and am paying $5 extra a month to At&T for HBO Max. (I'm a legacy subscriber to HBO which is why I get it for $5 instead of $15.) Watching 3-4 hours of TV a day, I need a wide selection.
Your introductory (discounted) subscription must have expired. I was already paying more than you were. And even at your new rate, Netflix is a great bargain. No other subscription source has the selection of movies, TV shows and Netflix original shows that you can find on Netflix. Tonight we are watching season four of The Crown, which is only available on Netflix! I also get Amazon Prime, which is free, but find that many of the shows available on Prime that I would like to see require either an additional pay-per-view fee or a subscription to another vendor.

frequently it won't load on our Samsung smart tv
I sometimes have that problem with Netflix on my 50" Samsung "smart TV" but it works OK on my 32" Samsung "smart TV" so far but it's newer. I have to shut down the 50 incher, unplug it from the wall, plug it back in and restart it. Just turning it off and back on doesn't work.
I'm thinking about replacing the 32" TV with a bigger one but I'm hesitant to get another Samsung. Leaning towards an LG or Sony.
I also have a Samsung tablet that gives me fits at times and a Samsung cell phone that's a pain in the a** (locks up and becomes unresponsive making me shut it down and restart).
I also bought a Samsung washing machine from Home Depot that I'm starting to worry about. I think I'm finished with Samsung.
I recently signed-up with Acorn TV. After signing up, Acorn informed me that their service doesn't work with Samsung technology for some reason. Had to resurrect my Roku to watch Acorn TV with it.

I was wondering about that volume problem. On normal TV my volume level is at 15, but when I watch Netflix it has to be at 65! I also notice that it frequently freezes in the middle of a show and I get a message to try again later. Is this a bandwith problem?
Your symptoms sound more like an internet problem? Do you see buffering? Are you streaming through a smart TV or a device like Fire Stick or Roku?

Your reply made me think to ask Mr. Google. There are several topics referring to Netflix low volume. Thank you for jogging my brain to look for answers. Now if I can just figure out how to reprogram my t.v.'s to work better with Netflix.
NETFLIX, or so I read, is now competing with other providers for material, costing more to provide quality material. They aren't the only show in town any more.
I got a notice at five this morning that my netflix was cancelled due to non-payment...and I've never had netflix.

Just got an email notifying me of a general price increase to $13.99. A $3 price increase for what? I know prices do tend to go up, but not with all the new competition out there. It's time to re-think Netflix on principle alone.
Think Hulu. I got tired of Netflix's second rate offerings and thought I would give Hulu a try.
They have a lot of stuff that Netflix doesn't have and it will take me some time to burn through all the shows they offer.
EVERY TIME I FIND A MOVIE THAT LOOKS INTERESTING IT TURNS OUT TO BE IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE !!

The higher price is so they have money to produce their child porn.

YES, it is a bandwidth problem; have that same problem occasionally with Spectrum. Fist thing I do is check the Bandwidth (using speedtest), then call Spectrum to complain. Many times I will not get billed for that particular day, LoL..... We do NOT have any volume problems though.
