Scrolled through - some wonderful posts. My computer went through a major update today meaning it was inaccessible most of the day. I didn't have a chance to try something new. Here are a couple recent ones - the originals and then edited version. #1 was tweaked in lightroom, some sun highlights added to emphasize the light.

Love your edit to #1..pg. 23

When Sharon first posted this challenge, I immediately
thought of a challenge posted way, way back...not sure
when, but it was about "refraction," and to get a good
"refraction," you have to use some good light.

Again, these are from the archives, so I hope everyone
will forgive this not-so-mobile-ole-fart.

Use of Light

A Peacock Solar Light. Light Painting..Stacked Three Images in Star Stax. then made adjustments and Cropped, the Tail wasn't quite to my liking so a used a light brush in Post. did a Med. Blue wash over the Peacock at 10%, did a 10% Black wash over the dark areas to darken a bit more added 3 crossing Blue lens flares over the light ..all shots with ISO at 400..The Blend mode for the Brushes was Overlay.

Pg 22 - Lesley, your processing skills have really evolved over
the last year or so, and I am truly impressed. There is no way
I could ever accomplish what you did on this one, but I do so
appreciate you using the "step by step" approach!

Use of Light

Yes another Light Painting..A small led Flash light was used with a red Cellophane over it to mute the light a bit and give the object a different tone..this is a Stack of 5 Images and Results..

Pg 23 - Another delightful series, my friend!

Good evening!
I have chosen "Use of Light" for my challenge. What I want you to think about is how light makes or breaks a photo. Lets face it... you can't have a photo if there is no light but even with minimal light you can take fantastic photos. Show us the many ways of photographing a scene or subject by making sure the light is right. Or if you took a photo and if the exposure was not what you wanted then show your edited version. There are few photos that are perfect straight from the cameras, but in post processing you can often get what you saw. If you think about it, you took the photo because of the light that caught your eye.
So lets see your photos and if you wish, tell us why you took it and what did you do in post processing to get the finished photo.

Lets see what you got and most important.... have fun with it.
Good evening! br I have chosen "Use of Ligh... (show quote)
