Township of Sparta in northwestern New Jersey has similar banners on every street light pole in town. They have both active duty, retired and war casulties. Town pays for the banners and gets help in gathering names, etc. from Legion and VFW posts.

Have any of you seen pictures like this on light poles in town? We have them in Kingston, NY, but I've seen them in other towns. They're kept up year round. There must be a company that produces them. I'm guessing they people who want them must pay for them.
Numerous towns in Pennsylvania have done this. Paying honor and respect to veterans of past wars and conflicts.

It's nice to see a town honor their hometown heros. You don't get much of that in the big city.
I came home also, but I accept their thanks. I just remember the lifetime oath that we took, (to protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic) and the number of years we "sacrificed" in that service. I for one, would do it again without reservations.
