Have any of you seen pictures like this on light poles in town? We have them in Kingston, NY, but I've seen them in other towns. They're kept up year round. There must be a company that produces them. I'm guessing they people who want them must pay for them.

Not sure who does then but our town did the exact same thing for our high school graduates who couldn't have a graduation ceremony because of the pandemic. The photos lined our main street for several months and when they were taken down, each graduate received his/her poster.

This recognition offers a special tribute when the town presents it like this.

Mu brother Keith, died while rescuing 150 POW's from a death camp in North Vietnam in 1972. He was the only American solider that died and all the POW's made it alive. Keith was carrying an injured POW when the VC shot Keith and the solider trailing Keith took the POW and left Keith. They we only 100 yards from the American lines when Keith died. To this day Keith's body and his possession are still in Vietnam. The only thing I received from the VA was a burial flag. He was up for the CMOH but since it was not a authorized mission he was denied this metal.

I've seen another picture of one of these from a different city in NY. It is of my brother-in-law who served in the Army some years ago. Neat idea.

Some of our small towns around here do that. WWII to the present. Great tribute to those who have and are now serving.

Very nice tribute those who risked everything for us. My town has started to do this as well, and we just filled out the information packet needed to have my father-in-law included.

I'm sorry but I am embarrassed when some one thanks me. I tell them don't thank me I came home. And I can't help but saying it.
