Would this app work with the base model 12?

Yes but you might already have RAW built in.

I am thinking about purchasing the new iPhone 12pro since I can no longer hold my camera but can use my iPcurrent I phone. The 12 pro can shoot raw. Any comments will be appreciated

I think the iPhone 12 Pro Max actually has a better camera setup than the iPhone 12 Pro.

Here is a great article on iPhone 12 -- besides super pix of a wonderful area -- the comments at the end discuss the various iPhone models, etc.

I personally would not use a phone in preference to a camera and lenses but if you cannot hold a cards have you tried using the camera on a tripod.
If that will not work for you then good luck using your phone

Thought the same thing the other day when I pulled the switch to go with an iPhone ProMax and it's 512GB of memory. Wondered what happened when they jumped from iPhone 8, passed 9, and then called the next model iPhone X instead of 10. No saying what they'll do with iPhone 13. Happy shooting to us all.

I have the 12 pro. The Max was just too big for me. I love the 12 pro camera, although it will never really replace my other cameras...currently a Nikon z50.

Just got the 12. As much as I like it, as is, should I consider upgrading to the 12 Pro? I still have a couple of days within the "return" window.

My gf is considering the same thing. I have the 11 and it is awesome but for $10 per month I couldn’t resist getting the 12 pro, Apple gave me the $800 trade in credit and I only paid $750 for the 11. What you will gain with the 12 pro is the short telephoto lens, 60 FPS option in video recording and a slightly better screen which you probably won’t notice the difference.

I was checking the settings on the 12 (basic) and there are two options for video: 30 fps AND 60 fps, in both 1080p and "4K".

The screen on the Pro IS slightly sharper, but even the 12 is much better than my previous 7's screen.

You got the Pro or the Pro Max? Seems that the telephoto lens on the Pro is a tad better, being a f2.0, whereas the Pro Max's lens is f2.2.

You are correct, I just checked my gf’s 12 regular and it has 4K 60fps. I ordered the 12 pro, the 12 max is too big for me, I carry my phone when I go running.

Went back to the AT&T store to exchange the 12 I bought a week ago, Monday, for the 12 Pro. After reading some of the comments here on UHH and in an article in today's local paper, I made the decision to change to the Pro. At first I didn't think I really needed the Pro version, but I kind of wanted it. Just didn't want to spend the extra bucks. However, as has been pointed out, it wasn't that much more for the next step up.

I did NOT, as was all suggested, to go for the higher capacity storage. I'm just getting the "128MB" phone. Any photos or videos I make with the phone go right onto my computer afterwards. I have no interest or need to store everything on the phone. Therefore, don't need the 256MB or 512MB (the latter ends up costing $1400 if the "Max" version).

Agreed that the Max is just a tad too large. The 12 (and 12 Pro) fit into a normal shirt pocket. Don't know that the Max could do that.

Had to order it because the store had none in stock. Oh well. I still get to keep the 12 in the meantime.
