Thanks. No I haven't tried that, and perhaps that was the obvious thing to do since I do have one

The haze makes the mountains a bit mysterious though.

Indeed. And going by other people's comments there's definitely a place for an occasional hazy shot. I just wouldn't want it as extreme as the original was.

Here is your pic using Affinity / haze removal / clarity. There is, of course, a certain amount of mountain mist, which I think enhances the effect.
