The best resell prices I have gotten are with ebay.
ebay is a little complicated but sold cameras etc
and got really good prices. They protect you and
you need to read the process. I have sold gear
expensive carpet many things over the years.

How much do you want for the 5D and lenses. What lenses are they. I might be interested. How old is the camera and how much has it been used?

The link below is to a mostly Canon website. There is a very active Classified for Sale and a Want to buy section. I used it to sell most of my Canon equipment when I moved to Olympus several years ago.

I intend to sell my Canon 5D mark 4 and lenses, tripod and discs. I contacted MBP and they made me an offer that I think is quite low. Do any of you have any alternate suggestions as to how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

I’ve bought and sold multiple times from MPB. They pay more for your equipment and charge less for your purchase than most other companys. They are fairly seamless and offer a liberal return policy on purchased items. They are a business and businesses obviously exist to make money. If you want more money check others or sell yourself. Facebook market place is really good

You will have to pay for convenience. These used gear companies want and are entitled to a profit. They are not charities. If you want top dollar you have to sell it yourself and put up with any inconvenience that may cost you. There have been several alternatives already suggested previously (such as this forum) to get more for your stuff.

Good luck. It is your money and your stuff.

As someone previously posted you can get pretty good prices on ebay. However, to be honest there is a learning curve. There are also some annoying even rude buyers. NEVER ship until you have the cash.

With standard auctions the price you get this month may not be the same as next month. If you can be patient “Buy it now” can reduce the uncertainty of the price you get.

Ebay is not for those easily stressed out as it is a competitive environment.

eBay, by the time you get paid they have charges of 15/16% by the time you pay all the different charges

You should put this info in the marketplace post you already started. That's what it's for!

When selling to any used dealer, KEH, B&H, Adorama, MPB, etc, you shouldn't expect more than about 60%-65% of what they can sell it for. There's a price for convenience. From my experience, MPB is the most competitive of the used world. Quite honestly, I consider B&H and Adorama to be PITAs when it comes to selling used gear. I suggest researching the "selling" side of all dealers and sold on eBay, then pricing the gear somewhere in between and posting here and/or fredmiranda.com (which is also a good place to check for the current market price since their classified section is huge). Good luck.
