Nice shots of this interesting place - I like how the log corners flare towards the bottom, I guess beside the aesthetics, it improves stability. Very neat, maybe a bit spooky, especially if you are asked to enter for the cookies! Enjoy your eve - Joe

Many thanks, Joe...I would never enter for cookies unless it was Gina Lollobrigida...I was in love with her in my early teens, what a beauty she was!!

Jim, A wonderful set of images! You sure do manage to find a lot of these old buildings to photograph. It is a real shame that they decay and eventually collapse, and yet, from a our viewpoint, it is abandoned buildings that seem to hold the greatest appeal.

You are dead on, GreyOwl...other than old world architecture nothing draws my attention like an old west abandoned structures. I put a lot of miles on back roads looking for these ops, much to my wife's dismay and occasional disgust!!

Very nice set and narrative, Jim. Looks like they better get to work soon. Every year that goes by the job becomes larger.

Many, many thanks, John, I appreciate your comments and have to say the chance of any rebuilding is slight, unfortunately!!

This was Stippy Wolff's guest ranch, established in the 1940's. I think about half of the cabins are now gone and the rest....... The park complains about a lack of housing for employees but lets good housing deteriorate to the point of no return.

Yeah - Italy had two beauties at that time - Gina Lollobrigida and Sofia Loren and France countered with Brigitte Bardot ..... those were the days, my friend ...

The log walls apparently were built to last. Nice find and an interesting mystery.
