Thanks very much. I met a photographer on another sight and she took us out. I usually see loons in the boundary waters and they don't let you get close. The loons on thomahawk and lake own don't seem to mind people as much but people are around all the time and in the boundary waters there are people but not many. I love loons and now I finally have a lens where I can float and wait and get captures. Do you have any pics of loons I would like to see a couple
Very well done overthemoon! I also enjoy spending time in the Northwoods with my camera. As yet, I haven't been able to shoot loons with your level of expertise. Great job!

Thanks very much it's usually peoples settings that get them in trouble and if you have any telephoto and patients. If you need settings let me know
Wow!!!
Oh Norman, can you hear the loons? Looolooolooo..... - Ethel, On Golden Pond. (Awesome photos)
I give you all my praise for those pictures of the Loons. My favorite bird. Couldn't be better for Mom and Dad Loon.
Absolutely stunning. We get Loons here on Flathead Lake every now and again but I've never been lucky enough for a shot.
Thanks, overthemoon for fantastic photos of a beautiful bird. We only get to see them in the winter and usually on large lakes at a distance. So good to see yours when their plumage is at its best, up close and personal.

Very very nice, overthemoon, all wonderful, Thanks for sharing
Absolutely fabulous pictures. I lived on a lake for many years and loved the loons. The pairs mate for life and come back to the same lake each year....life begins waiting for the chicks and the summer of watching them grow.Such wonderful memories. I wish your pictures were downloadable.
[quote=overthemoon][quote=photophile]I was going to ask about the "calling". The most wonderful sound of the wild. I love it. Nice pictures, overthemoon. I am from Wisconsin. If you check the box next to the post "store original" we can see your cameras data files and check all the ISO, and other specs. Thanks for your wonderful post. David in Florida.
