Fine use of B&W, most appropriate for these images evoking space and time. However, I would remove the modern windmills from #1 completely. I think they add nothing to the image and take away from the age and melancholy of the otherwise well-crafted shot. Having said that, if your intention was to juxtapose old and new, ancient and modern, then just ignore my suggestion! It's all about what YOU want to convey, and your images do so in a compelling manner. Keep clicking, mate!

Thank you for your comments. My intention was to show the old Vs. the new but I like your suggestion to remove them.

Very nice shots. The contrast of the old building, especially the weathervane, with the windmills is striking.

These are old abandon houses in north central Kansas. Most were built in the latter half of the 19th century. The area is known for buildings, sheds and fence posts made of limestone; the most abundant material available on the prairie as trees are scarce. All are shown in black and white, converted from color. I feel black and white conveys the mood I was looking to capture. Comments welcome.

Nice abandoned house shots.

B&W looks good. The turbines in the background look terrible, IMO.
