Remember: the big push for time change was to lower the cost of gas during the Nixon years.

Leave the clock alone, it will be correct again in the spring. Boom, problem solved.

I’m a time freak. Have been since studying celestial navigation in the early ‘70s. Had to change 14 clocks in my house on Sunday.

Oh shi!!!!!! Why did you have to remind me? Do you know how many cameras, camcorders etc I will have to change?

4 dslr's, 2 bridge cameras, 1 camcorder, 1 small pocket zoom and somewhere my wife still has her little pocket zoom and my old one may be on the misc photo gear shelf buried in the corner. But those two probably have dead batteries since I haven't seen either for a few years.

Come to think of it I don't remember changing them 6 months ago, they may all be OK now.

********
As somewhat of a clock collector, I have some 33 places to change the time every time. the smart man would have a checkoff list but, every year, we usually find one straggler a few weeks later.

My 2019 Chevy Blazer doesn't have a disk drive on it.

Actually my "New Car" is a 2017 Kia SUV (high end model). The dealer who had it went out of business and it was in court impound for two years while the court cases were settled. When the court auctioned them off the dealers that got them had to sell them as used/previously owned since they were 2 years out of date. I got it for under 2/3 of the old msrp sticker on the window and counting the wife and I each taking it out for about 20 minutes on a test drive it had 71 miles on it when I left the dealer last Oct 3. The guy in the service department who gassed it up before I left said over 30 of those miles were one of his guys driving it from the impound yard to the dealership and the rest was test drives. He told me they got 6 of the model I bought and mine was the last one to go because it was the only one without leather seats. I had leather seats in my last SUV and keeping them treated etc was a pain - esp since my wife insists on seat covers to keep them clean and you couldn't see the leather anyway.

I have a couple of those atomic clocks, but they can take several days to get caught up. Wow! One of them is caught up already!

I have one of those clocks also, and had the same problem but discovered it was set for the wrong day of the week. Put it on the correct day, and the clock changes the time within an hour of the time change. I forgot it would do it automatically this time and before I went to bed, I put it back one hour, but did not go right to sleep, so looked at the clock about 45 minutes later and it had corrected the time back to the original time it had before I moved it back an hour, then later it changed to the correct time on it's own.

In case you forgot, it's an hour earlier than it would be if it weren't for the time change.

Not this year, I’ll do nothing to prolong 2020 ( even if only an hour)!!

Personally, I think the entire world should change their clocks to half way between Standard Time and Daylight Saving, then leave it alone. There is no true need to change clocks twice a year.

So...since we’re now on Standard Time would we all turn our clocks back 30 minutes or ahead 30 minutes? Or does it matter as long as we all go in the same direction? 🥴

Half way between daylight and standard would mean negating 30 minutes of what we just did, so since we just turned them back we should go forward 30 minutes. Does that clear it up for you?

DST is the work of evil doers in my opinion. When I was a kid, Indiana was on Central Standard Time, then came DST, then we were moved to EST with DST--that’s two hours difference from then. The weak excuse for the change was so that businesses would know what time it was in New York. I remember a businessman in Indianapolis saying that a ten dollar clock labeled “New York” would have solved the problem, but the legislature didn’t listen, of course. I have always felt that the real reason for DST was so lawyers and legislators could play golf later into the evening. At least today’s change is a small step in the right direction.

Arizona and Hawaii seem to be the only sane states.

There, that’s my rant for the day. I feel better now.

Also a "tiny part" of Idaho doesn't change its clocks.

Jerry since the Covid I can't even remember what day it is. My wife and I walk around saying what day is today.
Stay safe you are a great poster. No nonsense just good thinking.
