A really nice set, Mike. Duck season starts here in a about a week. The refuges are closed due to the two storms so I probably won't get a chance to get any good waterfowl images this year.

Thanks, Ken. We can only hope that next year is better (starting with your visit to Utah).

My ill-planned visit to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge on Friday did produce some bird photo ops. Given the active duck hunting going on, I was happy to get some shots of the non-threatened species.

Migration has taken its toll on the number and type of birds at the Refuge. I did, however, get many coots, a bird in the reeds and a lone heron in the middle of a field.

As always, downloads are the best.

Nice set Mike

Beautiful set, Mike. I love the texture of the water in 5, 6, 7.

I agree. The lighting of the reeds is very nice. Too bad the variety of species is down! I get the feeling sometimes that our pictures are recording the decline of the bird populations.
