My wonderful wife does NOT like to take photos, but, she loves to go with me when I’m photographing birds.
We have been all over the Everglades, Big Cypress, Sanibel, Myakka River SP, Wakulla SP and next winter we plan on spending a few days in central Florida before we get to Venice for a month. There is a rookery in Venice and Myakka SP near by but nothing as extensive as your North Shore Drive where we’ve never been.
Judy has just recently caught the bug. She isn't into the technical side of it yet so I set up the camera and let her loose. She has a great eye and sees stuff that I don't so we make a good team.
We are here for the second winter because of the Covid thing and really happy that things are starting to hop again. We are planning to go down to the Everglades for a couple days and to Myakka SP. About 8 years ago we got some really nice photos there.
When you are in central Florida it would be worth your time to do the Apopka Wildlife Drive. It's only open Friday thru Sunday. The gate opens at seven AM and the early morning light is beautiful.
