Look at Think Tank. I have several of the bags and they are top notch!

I've been using one of these for about 10 years. I'm now up to 4 of them for various cameras and equipment. They are durable, washable, inexpensive, and don't shout 'expensive camera inside'.

I am having a terrible time finding a bag, to hold a Nikon P1000, external flash and battery charger, etc. Appreciate any help, thanks.

I use an Amazon Basics bag. Holds my D300, three lenses (18-55,55-200,35-105), hood for 55-200, manual, extra battery, remote release, extra memory chip, charger and cords, camera to USB and a couple of other things.

Works for me and it's $26.

They have a slightly smaller one that might be perfect for your P1000

I need a bag and have essentially the same lenses but a d810. Do you find the over the shoulder to be a hassle? Do you have to set it down every time you set up a shot? What are it’s dimensions?

11.5 X 6 X 8 (LWH).
The double top annoys me sometimes but I try to remember it's a double layer of protection when it does. The way the cap covers the zipper means no dirt or sand gets into the interior.
No, the shoulder strap is just another of its virtues when I'm carrying too much, like having a third hand. It also can easily be folded up and stashed so it's always available if I want it off for some reason.
I like it enough I'm about to buy a third one for my Pentax set.
